Become a Game Tester at EA Games
There are many different video game companies out there that need game testers. If you're interested in a career as a video game tester, it's a good idea to start with these companies. One of them is EA Games. EA Games is one of the largest game companies in the US and is perhaps the top sports game company. While EA Games does need a good number of testers, these positions are highly competitive. So what does it take to get a job with EA Games as a video game tester?
EA Games was founded in 1982. EA, or Electric Arts, originally created computer games, but by the late 80s, they had moved on to creating games for consoles. What began as one small game company has today spread into a number of labels. There's EA Games, which includes Maxis, BioWare, and Mythic Entertainment; EA Sports; EA Casual Entertainment, which includes Pogo.com, EA Mobile, and EA Hasbro; and then The Sims, a label that focuses only on the Sims games.
EA video game testing jobs
If you're looking to become a game tester for any of EA Games' various labels, you're going to need to know what types of games the company produces. Since each branch of EA Games operates more or less individually when it comes to game testing, you'll need to focus on different types of games for different labels. If you want to test for EA Sports, obviously you'll need to know all about the various sports games EA produces. However, you should be familiar with most of the different types of games that EA Games makes. This means knowing their big franchise names like the FIFA series, the Need for Speed series, the Command & Conquer series, the SimCity series, and more, including the more recent games like Rock Band and Spore. In addition to knowing as much as you can about EA Games list of titles, it's also a good idea to know about similar games made by other companies so that you can compare EA Games' titles to their competitors.
EA Video Game Testing at Home
One of the good things about working for EA Games is that, unlike a lot of other game companies, they have branches in several different locations. This means you won't necessarily have to relocate to some place you don't want to live. The main EA Games headquarters is in Redwood, California. However, you can also find EA Games branches in Montreal, Florida, Vancouver, San Francisco, and North Carolina, just to name a few. Many of these branches hire testers locally instead of looking at those who send in their resumes or inquire about becoming a tester. Like many video game companies, EA Games uses temp agencies to fill some of their positions. This includes testing positions. If you're in a location where you can apply to a local temp agency that you know works with EA Games, then you've got a good shot at getting a job with the company.
Becoming a video game tester for EA Games requires you to know more than just video games, of course. You need to have a great eye for detail, a desire to play games for hours, and the ability to clearly describe in writing each and every bug. Hey iv wanted to be a game tester for quite a while. EA makes games I love to play and I would love to work for them one day. I only have a wii and a xbox 360 but can still beat all my friends at ps3 games. I play video games in my spare time when I’m not doing stuff. I play lots of sports so I’m not one of those people who love video games that have no lives. I have a great attenchen to detail and I’m able to work well in a team.

Hi I want to sign up to be a video game tester for EA The Sims, because I have been a fan since Sim Town. I still own that game and I’ve had it for years. I’ve seen how far The Sims have come and I want to be apart of the Sims growth experiece.
1) I am a college freshman and I thought a cool way to pay for college would be to meddle in the game I get in trouble for playing when I’m supposed to be doing homework or sleeping.
2) I am a huge Sims fan. Since their appearances in Sim City, and Sim Town. I love The Sims and I’ve been a fan even when I never even had the games. I own Sims 2 with some expansion packs. My laptop got stolen and I want Sims 3. I’ll be buying it even though I don’t have a computer yet.
3) I’ve been a PC gamer since elementary school. I’ve been into educational games because of my mother, and as I got older I wanted to play for entertainment. I have a PS1, I’m trying to get a PS2. I would get Sims Urbz because a reletive of mine had it. I was even giving her tips on things in that because of owning the PCgames. So I believe this job is up my alley. Of course I have my bejeweled, jojo’s fashion show, and I’m looking forward to buying cake mania but overall my whole entire archive of games is SIMS!

I would like to be an EA sports game tester because I am the best at every sports game. I play every hour of everyday usually on xbox 360 but I also have every system from PS3 to atari. I find problems with games all the time that I wish I could change and without being a tester my vast knowledge on EA games just goes to waste.
Please if you want to make your games better for the public you must start with getting my feedback because I know what gamers like I’ve been one for 23 years and counting.
I’ve been playing video games ever since I could grasp the concept of the game.
I’m also an artists, so paying attention to details is a natural reaction for me. Being a writer as well, I look at how the storyline was compiled and if it’s interesting enough to continue with, or if it’s easy to follow.
Games, Art, Design, Storyline, Concept, It’s all relevant to a video game. If the characters aren’t interesting, the story won’t be interesting. If there are no twists, there’s got to be compensation somewhere in the game.
Like, If I use Eternal Sonata for an example, The storyline was kind of boring, but I enjoyed the characters so I continued playing it. If given the chance I would actually play it again.
In comparison to that, Skyrim doesn’t really have a basis for your character as YOU are the character, making it a more inviting game to the person playing it. I get lost in that game easily. The dragons are well drawn and well animated, the details in the surroundings are spectacular!! There are some glitches that I have noticed already in the game though. Like I couldn’t complete certain events (although they fixed themselves later on in the story for some reason), I would go do something else and come back and the whole town tried to kill me (I have not done anything bad in the entire game). But those glitches aren’t as big when you look at the whole schematic of the game. Skyrim is a HUGE game. THOUSANDS of side quests, HUGE map to explore, Lots of places to find, Dragons to kill, etc.
I don’t claim I’m the BEST at games. That’s an ego gamers shouldn’t have. I’m good at games, I live on games, but there’s always room to improve. I embrace those improvement chances and look forward to getting better at something I love to do.
